LIX
The most endangered species in our nation isn't a big wood pecker or some freshwater fish, it's the tongue in our heads. listen to the chunkated bastard language of today. The average vocabulary is a third of what it was a hundred years ago. Words fall out of our mouths and die at our feet. The landscape of vocabulary is being hacked down and sucked up by the thrivel of pop culture. May it be because of our lazy attitude towards gaining knowledge from our history or our self-indulged need for acronyms, the english language has become a mockery of what it used to be. It is no longer the language of wisdom and truth, but rather a jargle of meaningless short forms and made-up sounds. worthless phenomes disguised as pitiful words.
